Hello, METS members!
We teachers are extremely busy with year-end stuffs and various
kinds of parties at this time of year. Many of you might have
such a party this weekend.
So, we’d like to advance the time to start Hakodate Mets so that
you can join both if you want.
In this weekend meeting, Mr. Ryohei Yoshida, a teacher of Hakodate
Fishery High School, will give us a workshop and bring a topic for
discussion. His comment is as follows.
This Month's Contents
Mr. Ryohei Yoshida(Hakodate Fishery High School)
Presentation Title: “Something that we are likely to dismiss as an English
teacher ”
I've been teaching English for twenty-five years at 4 different high
schools. Three years ago I was transferred to a vocational high school,
which is free from the pressure of university entrance exams.
Meeting with the students who don't care about the entrance exam reminds
me of some important things. I think they are easy, pretty basic things
for most of English teachers in Japan.
I dare to confront some tiny, but significant topics.
After the fruitful meeting, I’d like to have a party with all participants
and enjoy eating, drinking and talking a lot. I look forward to seeing all
of you.
The concept of our meeting is invariably one that is made by and for the
participants. As such, we invite all of you to generously share your
ideas, for therein lies the secret to our success.
Of course, each fruitful meeting is followed by a party where all can eat,
drink and talk to their hearts content. So please come and join in.
New faces are always welcome, so why not bring a friend?

Entrance is on the left side of the building.

３２才のライバルに６秒差でやぶれました。
でも、１回目のときは差は１秒ありません。
体力差があっても経験値で勝負できます。
「石の上にも３０年」が信条の私は、
３月から帰りも早歩き３０分を開始。
愛読書の"SOPHIE'S WORLD"で見つけた
ゲーテの言葉を紹介します。
Goethe once said that 'he who cannnot draw on three thousand
years is living from hand to mouth.'
「３，０００年の長さで考えることができない者は
その日暮らしをしているようなものだ」
私の１００倍のスケールに感銘を受けました。
上には上がある。
この本から不明な単語９００のうち、８００くらいは
意味を覚えました。
３冊の単語張をかわるがわる手にとって廊下でチェック。
現代の二宮尊徳と言われようが、おかまいなし。
昨日の帰りの電車で３回目を読み終わりました。
今年は好きな頁を暗記します。
「鶏が先か、卵が先か」
「無生物しかいなかった地球になぜ生命体が誕生したか」
こんな話題をいつか英語でじっくりと話し合ってみたい。
へりくつ男にならないように気をつけながら・・・。
教員にとっては、４月が始まり。
１年の計を立てようではありませんか。
退職まで２年と３週間を切りました。
時間を大切にしたいものです。
スノボの季節が終わったら、次はサーフィン。
ゲレンデのように滑られるように、３年目の
挑戦が始まります。
まずは、書物から知識をもらいます！

紹介されますので、イメージしやすいです。
レッスン時間はレベル１で、
６（ステージ）×１０（場面）×３（レッスン）×２０（分）＝３６００分
レベル２も同様にありますから、全体では、
３６００分×２（レベル）＝７２００分
ビジネスライフに特化していますので、
おもしろかったです。
また、ロンドンやニューヨークでのロケ
があり、実際に住んでいるような気分に。
インタラクティブな教材として、発音チェック
は有効でした。
イギリス英語とアメリカ英語を選べる場面も
あり、比較できます。
数人登録でき、家族が自分のレベルで学習

Presentation Title: “How I teach at 3 high schools & a school of nursing”
This year I am teaching English at 3 different high schools and a school of
