A happy new year, METS members!

<<This Month's Contents>>

We have two presenters at January Mets.  One is a student
of Hakodate Future University.
His name is Yuuta Okano.  He will talk about his research
in JAPANESE.　And the other is Adam Smith.  He is a teacher
of Hakodate Future University. 
He will show us his English writing method.  Their message
are as follows.

1st half: Yuuta Okano
ELearning is now utilised in both schools and companies.
However, it is clear that learners find it difficult to
maintain their motivation.
One reason for this is that learners have little interaction
with their peers, and so feel that their learning experience
is superficial.
In order to solve this problem the presenter has been developing
an application that will make possible the creation of "study games"
by teachers that will allow students to study with their peers.
 
2nd half: Adam Smith
I would like to explain and demonstrate the online collaborative
writing tasks which the first and second year students do at Future
University. I will describe the tasks, explain how they fit into
the students' studies and give the attendants a chance to experience
some collaborative online writing during the meeting.

After the fruitful meeting, I’d like to have a party with all
participants and enjoy eating, drinking and talking a lot.

The concept of our meeting is invariably one that is made by and for
the participants. 
As such, we invite all of you to generously share your ideas, for therein
lies the secret to our success. 
Of course, each fruitful meeting is followed by a party where all can eat,
drink and talk to their hearts content.  So please come and join in. 
New faces are always welcome, so why not bring a friend?
