Hello, METS members!
We’re delighted to announce the 10th anniversary of Hakodate Mets THIS month!
We’ve been planning to make October Hakdoate Mets special in some ways.
We’re very sorry for our late information. Hakodate Mets founders will give
us a talk this time.
Here’s the menu. The time schedule of the meeting is different than usual,
4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

Here are comments from two presenters.

Nobuharu Seto
“METS HAKODATE Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Chubu H.S.”
This is the memorable first Hakodate Mets. At that Mets meeting,
I gave a presentation entitled “How to use English songs in class.” 　
I’d like to recreate the presentation plus something extra entitled
“METS 10 years - before and after-.“

Yoshiyuki Usuda
Hello. I’m Yoshiyuki Usuda. I’m filled with deep emotion when I reflect on
the ten years that have passed since METs in Hakodate started.
Thanks to Taka and Peter’s philanthropic contributions,
METs has been continuing now.
I’d really like to pay my respects to them.
I’m pleased to be given time to talk a bit about its first 5 years of history,
showing some photos of members from the beginning to feel nostalgic,
and give a pretty small presentation about effective activities to improve learners’
speaking skill.
I do hope more members than usual will come and enjoy METs’ 10th anniversary meeting
and party. See you soon.


Mr. Peter Keen will talk about some ideas he has stolen at Mets for ten years.
Ms. Ichinei will show us some of her workshop she covered at Koeiken Seminar
in Sapporo this August.
Mr. Imai also will suggest some progressive approaches for English classes.
Why don’t we join this memorable and deluxe “event” and celebrate
the 10th anniversary together?

After the fruitful meeting, I’d like to have a party at Haru-na-tei,
which is across Iai SHS.
It costs 3,000 yen for food & drink.
If you’d like to join us, please let me know by Thursday Oct. 25th.
The concept of our meeting is invariably one that is made by and for
the participants.
As such, we invite all of you to generously share your ideas,
for therein lies the secret to our success.
Of course, each fruitful meeting is followed by a party where all can eat,
drink and talk to their hearts content.
So please come and join in.
New faces are always welcome, so why not bring a friend?
