Hello, METS members!

Hakodate Mets is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading – through our
monthly English meeting at Iai Girls’ J/S HS. Mets provides chances all the
participants “discoveries.”

Presentation Title: “How I teach at 3 high schools & a school of nursing”



This year I am teaching English at 3 different high schools and a school of
nursing as a part-time teacher. I am going to introduce how I teach and
some comments on those schools.



One more thing!

Mr. Jun Nakagawa, who is a teacher of Ritsumeikan Keisho HS, will give us
an interactive and participants-centered workshop.



After the fruitful meeting, I’d like to have a party with all participants
and enjoy eating, drinking and talking a lot. I look forward to seeing all
of you.



The concept of our meeting is invariably one that is made by and for the
participants. As such, we invite all of you to generously share your
ideas, for therein lies the secret to our success. Of course, each
fruitful meeting is followed by a party where all can eat, drink and talk
to their hearts content. So please come and join in. New faces are always
welcome, so why not bring a friend?

本日はＭＥＴＳの日！

午前中はスノボの練習をしました。

風呂に入ってさっぱりし、夕方のＭＥＴＳに
備えます。

スノボはうまくなりましたが、英語はなかなか
どうして、けっこう、うまくならない。

あと１０年したら、もう少しうまくなるでしょう。
その時は６８才です。

ボケ防止にはなります。

さて、皆さま、そのような不届き者も出かけますので、
安心してください。（はいてますからではありません）

本日のテーマは中学校での英語による英語指導。
情報がいっぱいもらえるでしょう。

５時から遺愛女子高校です。

入口は警備員さん前を通って、左に曲がり、
直進してください。

右手に入口があります。
入ると目的地までの案内があります。

あっと言う間に・・・。

今日は１月１０日。
今年もすでに１０日が過ぎようとしています。

３連休の真ん中。
時間は朝の５時。

今朝は異常に早く目が覚めてしまいました。

冬休みの課題である、問題集「ゼスター」は
Check１２８までたどり着きました。

冬休みは少し進めることができそうです。

今日はThe Stingの"Every breath you take"を
YouTubeで聞きながらやりました。

昔は、ながら勉強は集中できないと思っていました。
でも、今は、ある程度の音が聞こえていた方が、
集中しやすいと感じしています。

この冬休み中に、この曲の速いところを覚えます。
できれば歌詞を見ないで歌えるようにしたい。

素潜り名人のＫ原先生に発音チェックされても
大丈夫なレベルまで高めたい。

Ｋ原先生は音に非常に神経を使っています。
スピーカーをベタボメされたスナックのマスターに
「ここまで詳しい方は初めて」と言わせたほど。

私はカラオケ好きですが、スピーカーのメーカーと
特徴についてはさっぱり。

でも、スノボの練習量はけっこうなもの。

この３連休は２月の大会に向けての特訓です。
皆さまも、残りの冬休みを大切にお使い願います。

「石の上にも３０年」。
イメージをたたき込みます。
こんな風に滑りたいです。

Presentation title: Conducting effective English lessons almost all in
English

In the 2013 academic year, the language of com­munication in Japanese
senior high school English classes officially became English.


Under the plan announced by MEXT on Dec. 13, 2013, English classes in
junior high schools will also be conduct­ed primarily in the English
language from the 2018 academic year.

In my talk, the importance of English-medium lessons will
be explained from the point of view of theories and practice.

In this interactive-WS style presentation, I hope we can have
a lot of (exciting and enjoyeable) exchanges.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in Hakodate.
